It’s mindfullness, right? One doesn’t have to engage with one’s emotions, one can just observe them, let them happen, let them pass, without latching on to them. News is all about triggering fear and outrage. Don’t let them.

Yes, the watching is the awareness. We have to recognize how we allow triggers to impact us before we can begin to respond in ways that settle rather than stir us.

Be the observer of self. Name what you learn. I love this simple parade mind shift. I use this in a similar way. I pretend I am my own coach and then I can look at my behavior feelings and emotions a bit more objectively. Thank you!!
